The Lakes and Wilderness Region

Nine thousand years ago a vast system of rivers, lakes, lagoons and islands was enclosed by a thin strip of ocean beach to create Australia's largest inland waterway. These days, The Lakes provide a boating paradise - they are home to a huge array of yachts and cruises. Here you'll find the world famous Ninety Mile Beach and further east Croajingolong, Snowy River and Errinundra National Parks where you will discover natural beauty beyond your imagination.
